CVM INSTRUCTION NO. 163, OF OCTOBER 31, 1991

Amends the wording of Item XV of CVM Instruction No. 135, of November 16, 1990.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION - CVM makes public that the Collegiate Board, in a meeting held on this date, and based on the provisions of Article 9, paragraph 2 of Law No. 6,385, of December 7, 1976, and Item II of Resolution No. 1,657, of October 26, 1989, of the National Monetary Council,

HAS RESOLVED:

Article 1. Amend Item XV of CVM Instruction No. 135, of November 16, 1990, which shall now read as follows:

“XV - If members of the distribution system infringe the provisions of Articles 1, 3, 7, and 8, paragraph 2 of CVM Instruction No. 33/84, excepting, in the case of Article 7, the situations that constitute an inequitable practice, in accordance with CVM Instruction No. 8, of October 8, 1979.”

Article 2. This Instruction shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Union.
