CVM INSTRUCTION NO. 263, OF MAY 21, 1997.
Authorizes the trading of consolidated debt securities issued by state governments and by companies whose shareholding control is held by these governments.

The PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION - CVM makes public that the Collegiate Board, in a session held on this date, and based on the provisions of Article 8, item I, of Law No. 6,385, of December 7, 1976, and Article 33, §3, of the Regulation annexed to CMN Resolution No. 1,656, of October 26, 1989, resolved to issue the following Instruction:

Art. 1. The trading of consolidated debt securities issued by state governments and by companies whose shareholding control is held by these governments on stock exchanges is permitted.

Sole Paragraph. The securities representing the debt must be deposited with a custody entity authorized to operate by the CVM, prior to their trading.

Art. 2. This Instruction enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Union.
