The PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION - CVM makes public that the Collegiate Board, in a meeting held on January 13, 1999, based on item "a" of subsection II of Article 18 of Law No. 6,385, of December 7, 1976, RESOLVED to issue the following Instruction:
Article 1
An article is added to CVM Instruction No. 174, of February 6, 1992, as follows:
"Article 6
The provisions of this Instruction apply to the trading of selected portfolios of stocks in an organized over-the-counter entity, as well as to the trading of selected portfolios of other securities in a stock exchange or organized over-the-counter market."
Article 2
This Instruction enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Union.
