CVM INSTRUCTION NO. 493, OF MARCH 24, 2011
Amends an article of CVM Instruction No. 332, of April 4, 2000.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION - CVM makes public that the board, in a meeting held on March 15, 2011, based on the provisions of Articles 19 and 21 of Law No. 6,385, of December 7, 1976, APPROVED the following Instruction:

Article 1. Article 3, Paragraph 1, Item I, Sub-item 'd' of CVM Instruction No. 332, of April 4, 2000, shall enter into force with the addition of items '5' and '6':

Paragraph 1. A sponsored BDR program is characterized by being established by a single depositary institution, contracted by the issuing company of the securities subject to the deposit certificate, and may be classified in the following levels:
I - Sponsored BDR Level I - characterized by:

d) exclusive acquisition by:
......
3. portfolio administrators and securities consultants authorized by the CVM, regarding their own resources;
4. employees of the sponsoring company or another company part of the same economic group;
5. closed complementary pension entities; and
6. individuals or legal entities with financial investments exceeding R$ 1,000,000.00 (one million reais).
