Closed-end fund shares, including those of Incentivized Equity Mutual Funds, FIDC, FIP, FUNCINE, FIDC-PIPS, and REITs (FII), may only be traded on regulated markets. Permitted trading occurs via CVM-registered public offerings, restricted distributions, or existing admission to trading. Shares not meeting these criteria require prior trading registration and a prospectus. Intermediaries must ensure FIDC and FIP acquisitions involve only qualified investors. For funds receiving development organism support, only shares with classes already admitted to trading may be traded. Shareholder status requires proof via account deposit statements. This instruction enters into force upon publication, replacing CVM Instructions Nos. 153, 209, 356, 391, 398, 399, and 472.
