Completion of CTR for Aggregated Multiple Transactions with Missing Information

Financial institutions must report aggregated multiple currency transactions totaling more than $10,000 or an established exemption limit on a single Currency Transaction Report (CTR) if they have knowledge of the transactions. When identifying information required for items 4 through 15 is unavailable because individual transactions were below the reporting threshold at the time they occurred, the institution must check item 3d and provide as much information as is reasonably available. All subsections of item 48 must be completed to report the number of transactions, the number of financial institution locations, and the zip codes of those locations where the transactions were conducted.
