Notice No. 06-2015 of April 20, 2015 - Angola Payment System: Angolan Bank Number (NBA) and International Bank Account Number (IBAN)
The Governor of the Bank of Angola issued Notice No. 06-2015 to establish the regulatory framework for the Angolan Bank Number (NBA) and the International Bank Account Number (IBAN) within the Angola Payment System. The notice mandates that all authorized financial institutions use the standardized 21-digit NBA and the 25-character IBAN for identifying deposit accounts, replacing previous specifications. This regulation aims to normalize payment processes in compliance with public interest objectives and revokes the prior Notice No. 03/04.
