Decision on Approving the Size of the Countercyclical Capital Buffer for the 2nd Quarter of 2026
The Board of the Central Bank of Armenia sets the countercyclical capital buffer for banks at 2.00% of risk-weighted assets. This requirement becomes mandatory for banks starting from February 1, 2027. The decision is based on an analysis of macro-financial developments, including a rising loan-to-GDP gap and elevated household debt burdens.
