Directive regarding margin loan provided by stock broker

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission repeals earlier directives and imposes new restrictions on stock brokers providing margin loans. Stock brokers are prohibited from offering margin loans for purchasing Z-category securities or any newly listed security during the first 30 trading days after listing. An exception allows margin loans for securities upgraded from Z-category after seven trading days from the date of upgradation. These provisions take immediate effect.
