3 files · 28 PDF pages

Licensed insurance intermediaries must implement policies to ensure referral schemes do not risk customers contravening the Insurance Ordinance. Authorized insurers must not accept business from unlicensed persons unless duties are clerical or administrative. Non-licensed entities must not provide regulated advice, arrange contracts, collect premiums, or hold out as carrying on regulated activities. Premiums must be paid directly by customers to the insurer or intermediary. Segregation of regulated and non-regulated activities is mandatory, with specific disclosures required under the Codes of Conduct.
