FDIC Official Signs and Advertising Requirements, False Advertising, Misrepresentation of Insured Status, and Misuse of the FDIC's Name or Logo
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation has delayed the compliance date for its final rule amending sign and advertising requirements for insured depository institutions from January 1, 2025, to May 1, 2025. This extension provides additional time for institutions to implement necessary technological updates and establish internal processes in response to industry feedback. While the compliance deadline for subpart A amendments shifts to May 1, 2025, requirements under subpart B remain unchanged and will still take effect on January 1, 2025.
