FINRA Amends Rule 6730 to Allow Streamlined Allocation Reporting for BD/IAs

FINRA has amended Rule 6730 to permit broker-dealers and investment advisers (BD/IAs) to report allocations of aggregate orders to multiple managed customer accounts in a single, aggregated TRACE trade report instead of separately reporting each allocation. This new option under Supplementary Material .08 requires aggregated reports to reflect allocations with the same price and time of execution and to include the number of managed customer accounts involved. The amendments become effective on June 8, 2026, while FINRA maintains the existing 15-minute outer limit for TRACE reporting timeframes.
