FINRA Discontinues Collection of INSITE Data From Clearing Firms
FINRA is discontinuing the collection of data under Rule 4540, effective November 30, 2023. This change applies to clearing firms and self-clearing firms, relieving them of the obligation to electronically report prescribed data for the Integrated National Surveillance and Information Technology Enhancements (INSITE) program. FINRA cites the availability of alternative data sources, such as consolidated audit trail data and updated FOCUS reports, as the basis for this decision.
