Framework for the SIRES service - Relevant Information System for Supervised Entities
This Instruction frames the new SIRES (Relevant Information System for Supervised Entities) service within the internal legal order, discontinuing and revoking Instruction No. 7/2016, which regulated the previous "Requests for Authorization and Registration" (PAR) service. SIRES enables the uniform electronic processing of authorization, non-opposition, communication, and registration procedures with Banco de Portugal for credit institutions, financial companies, electronic money institutions, payment institutions headquartered in Portugal, and certain branches and supervised entities. It also allows other individuals and legal entities to submit applicable requests and communications. The Instruction enters into force 7 days after its publication.
