Guideline 2.2: Consolidated Supervision
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority issued this letter to distribute the Basle Committee on Banking Supervision's report on the Supervision of Cross-border Banking to all authorized institutions. The report contains recommendations aimed at strengthening the supervision of cross-border operations of international banks to ensure the soundness of individual credit institutions and the stability of the financial system. The HKMA enclosed a copy of the report for the information of banks and other interested parties as requested by the Basle Committee.
