Hong Kong Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority published the Hong Kong Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance to standardize green classification and facilitate sustainable investment flows. This framework covers 12 economic activities across four sectors and aligns with the Common Ground Taxonomy to ensure compatibility with Mainland China and EU standards. The HKMA encourages authorized institutions to apply the taxonomy for product labeling, disclosure, and investment guidance while announcing plans to expand its scope in a second phase.
