Iran-related Designations
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control added numerous Iranian individuals and entities to the Specially Designated Nationals List. These designations target officials involved in the brutal crackdown on peaceful protests, including commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Law Enforcement Forces. The sanctions also cover entities linked to energy trading and prison operations, subjecting them to secondary sanctions and asset freezes.
