Iran-related Designations; Iran-related and Counter Terrorism Designation Update; Issuance of Iran-related General License
The Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control issued Iran General License Z to authorize wind-down activities and limited safety transactions involving persons and vessels blocked on July 14, 2026. OFAC updated the Specially Designated Nationals List by adding numerous individuals, entities, and vessels linked to Mohammad Hossein Shamkhani's illicit shipping empire and other designated networks. The update also amended the entry for Bank Markazi Jomhuri Islami Iran to include additional digital currency addresses associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force and Hizballah.
