Issuance of Amended Venezuela-related General License and Frequently Asked Question
General License No. 5Y authorizes all transactions related to, the provision of financing for, and other dealings in the Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. 2020 8.5 Percent Bond on or after September 17, 2026, that would otherwise be prohibited by Executive Order 13835 as incorporated into the Venezuela Sanctions Regulations. This authorization applies specifically to the named bond and does not extend to any other transactions or activities prohibited by the Venezuela Sanctions Regulations or other parts of 31 CFR chapter V. General License No. 5Y replaces and supersedes General License No. 5X in its entirety, with this replacement becoming effective on August 3, 2026.
