Joint Resolution No. 14 — Methodology for Calculating Minimum Paid-in Share Capital and Net Equity Limits for Financial Institutions

Financial institutions and credit cooperatives must maintain minimum paid-in share capital and net equity limits calculated per this Joint Resolution, which replaces numerous prior BCB and CMN resolutions. Credit cooperatives must reach 100% capitalization within five years of authorization. Institutions using "bank" in their name must add R$30,000,000. Existing institutions must comply with prior rules until June 30, 2026, then gradually increase capital by 25%, 50%, and 75% of the difference through December 31, 2027.
