The Securities and Exchange Commission Rules, 2025 (Repeal)

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 33 of the Securities and Exchange Commission Ordinance, 1969 (Ordinance No. XIX of 1969), the Securities and Exchange Commission hereby makes the following rules for the repeal of the Margin Rules, 1999:
Short title and commencement.---(1) These rules may be called the Margin (Repeal) Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force on the 30th of Kartik, 1432 Bangabda (13th November, 2025).
Repeal.---(1) The Margin Rules, 1999 are hereby repealed.
(2) The following rules of the Securities and Exchange Rules, 1979 are hereby repealed:
(a) Rule 11523 of the Securities and Exchange Rules, 1979, insofar as it relates to the margin requirements for the exchange of non-government securities and corporate shares under the Margin Rules, 2025; (b) Rule 11524 of the Securities and Exchange Rules, 1979, insofar as it relates to the margin requirements for the exchange of non-government securities and corporate shares under the Margin (Amendment) Rules, 2025, to the extent that such requirements are inconsistent with the Margin Rules, 1999, and the Margin (Amendment) Rules, 2025.
