The hearing on the application to organize The Community's Bank is continued from June 27, 2000, to July 21, 2000. The Bank of Ireland filed an application to establish a representative office in Greenwich, Connecticut, and Roslyn Bancorp, Inc. applied to establish an office for its subsidiary in West Hartford. Sikorsky Federal Credit Union filed an amendment to expand its field of membership to include out-of-state employees and retirees of select groups. First Resource, Inc., Home Buyers of America, Inc., Home Buyers Training Corporation, and Robert A. Blair were fined $10,000 jointly and severally for selling unregistered business opportunities, while Ameritel Payphone Distributors, Inc. was fined $10,000 for similar violations. Wellrich & Company and Daryle Ragsdale were each fined $30,000 for securities violations, including acting as unregistered broker-dealers and agents and misrepresenting customer holdings.
