The Connecticut Department of Banking approved a branch application for Dime Savings Bank of Norwich to open a limited branch in Westerly, Rhode Island. The Commissioner imposed $30,000 fines on Georges Trading Corp. and its president Gerald Georges for fraudulent note sales and securities violations, and permanently barred Gregory Katsaros from securities-related activity in Connecticut. Additionally, the Department revoked the mortgage licenses of Impac Mortgage Corporation, LLC, for submitting a check from a closed account to pay license fees.
