The Bank of Greenwich is applying to change its name to The First Bank of Greenwich, with objections permitted within 30 days on grounds of public confusion. United Check Cashing, d/b/a GreenMil Enterprises, Inc., received approval for a check cashing service license in Bridgeport. The Commissioner issued an Order to Cease and Desist and a Notice of Intent to Fine against TDA Advantage Trust and Thomas F. Desteph for selling unregistered promissory notes and acting as unregistered agents in violation of the Connecticut Uniform Securities Act. A hearing regarding the fine is scheduled for May 20, 2009.
