The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network announces the availability of a Regulatory Impact Assessment and an Initial Regulatory Flexibility Analysis for the proposed Customer Due Diligence Requirements for Financial Institutions. The assessment estimates that implementation and compliance costs for banks, brokers, dealers, mutual funds, and futures commission merchants may exceed $100 million annually. Written comments on these documents must be received by January 25, 2016, and can be submitted via the Federal e-Rulemaking Portal or by mail to FinCEN.
