The Central Bank of Uzbekistan approved a regulation governing the issuance, circulation, and redemption of bearer bonds designed for individuals, which are classified as state securities with a maximum maturity of three years. The regulation mandates that bonds be issued in coupon-bearing or non-coupon forms, serviced through commercial bank agents, and exempt from taxes. It establishes specific procedures for sales, interest payments, redemption, and strict accounting controls for blank forms, while prohibiting the sale of damaged bonds and the replacement of lost ones. This regulation was officially repealed on September 16, 2020.
