The Minister of Finance approved regulations issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers to amend National Instrument 31-103 and National Instrument 45-106. These amendments harmonize the definition of "designated rating" in both instruments by aligning it with the definition found in Regulation 81-102 respecting Investment Funds. The changes are designed to reduce regulatory burden for investment fund issuers and come into force on January 5, 2022, with a specific filing-based effective date for Saskatchewan.
