Proposed Rule Changes for Use of Special Nominee Account by Foreign Bond Investors

The Financial Services Commission proposes amendments to the Regulation on Financial Investment Business to allow foreign bond investors to use a special nominee account for placing aggregated orders to buy and sell listed bonds. This provision extends the special nominee account, currently available to foreign stock investors, to cover on- and off-exchange transactions for listed bonds. The proposed amendments are open for public comment until May 24, 2017.
