Publication of Covid-Related Web General License Related to Iranian Transactions and Sanctions Regulations and Global Terrorism Sanctions Regulations
The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) publishes General License N, which authorized specific transactions related to the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of COVID-19 involving Iran. This license, originally issued on June 17, 2021, permitted the exportation of goods and technology, importation of defective items, and provision of services, while also authorizing financial transactions involving the Central Bank of Iran and the National Iranian Oil Company. The authorization for these activities expired on June 17, 2022, and the document serves to formally publish the text of this superseded general license for regulatory reference.
