The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) publishes a list of specific areas in northeast and northwest Syria where activities are authorized under 31 CFR 542.533, which incorporates General License 22 into the Syrian Sanctions Regulations. The list covers designated districts and subdistricts within the Aleppo, Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, and Al Hasakah governorates, subject to conditions excluding transactions involving the Government of Syria. This document serves as the official Federal Register publication of the geographic scope previously maintained as an annex to General License 22, effective June 6, 2024.
