Publication of Venezuela Sanctions Regulations Web General Licenses 5O, 8M, and 44A
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) publishes General Licenses 8M, 5O, and 44A under the Venezuela Sanctions Regulations. General License 8M authorizes specific maintenance and wind-down transactions for Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, and Weatherford involving Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. through May 19 or 16, 2024. General License 5O authorizes transactions related to the PDVSA 2020 8.5 Percent Bond on or after August 13, 2024. General License 44A authorizes the wind-down of oil or gas sector transactions in Venezuela through May 31, 2024.
