Recommendation of the European Systemic Risk Board of 24 March 2016 amending Recommendation ESRB/2015/2 on the assessment of cross-border effects of and voluntary reciprocity for macroprudential policy measures (ESRB/2016/3)

This recommendation amends Recommendation ESRB/2015/2 to include a Belgian macroprudential measure in the list of measures recommended for reciprocation. The measure consists of a 5-percentage-point risk-weight add-on applied by internal ratings-based credit institutions to Belgian mortgage loan exposures. Relevant authorities are recommended to reciprocate this add-on for exposures from branches and direct cross-border lending, with an option to waive reciprocation if no material exposures exist. Authorities are advised to adopt equivalent measures within six months where direct reciprocation is not feasible.
