The European Systemic Risk Board amends Recommendation ESRB/2015/2 to recommend that relevant authorities reciprocate specific macroprudential measures adopted by Belgium, France, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden. The amendments specify the technical details for reciprocating a 9% systemic risk buffer in Belgium, a tightened large exposure limit for highly-indebted French corporations, and various risk weight floors and loan-to-value limits in other jurisdictions. Reciprocating authorities are instructed to apply these measures to credit institutions and systemically important institutions within their prudential perimeter, subject to defined materiality thresholds and deadlines for adoption.
