Regulation on the Application of Guidelines on STS Criteria for ABCP Securitisation

The Bank of Slovenia issued a regulation to formally apply the European Banking Authority's Guidelines on Simple, Transparent and Standardised (STS) criteria for Asset-Backed Commercial Paper (ABCP) securitisation within Slovenia. This measure requires Slovenian banks to fully incorporate the EBA's transparency and standardisation requirements into their operations and mandates the Bank of Slovenia to consider these guidelines when exercising its supervisory powers. The regulation entered into force on 11 May 2019, with subsequent amendments regarding on-balance-sheet securitisation taking effect on 9 December 2024.
