Resolution CMN No. 2562 adds a new clause to Resolution No. 2,461 to define eligible public sector credit contingencies for states and municipalities. It authorizes financing exclusively for modernizing public administration and tax management under the supervision of the Fiscal Control and Management Commission (CCF). Additionally, it sets a total limit of R$60 million for specialized consultancies aimed at privatizing water supply and sanitation services, with R$30 million allocated to Caixa Econômica Federal and R$30 million to BNDES. The resolution mandates that loan repayments for these sanitation projects be assumed by winning bidders in concession contracts or settled during the auction of controlling shares in privatized companies.
Redefines rules for the contingency of credit to the public sector and establishes limits for the realization of operations.
