Lima, 27 March 2020.

S.B.S. Resolution No. 1268-2020 The Superintendent of Banking, Insurance and Private Pension Fund Administrators:

WHEREAS:

That the Second Final Complementary Provision of Emergency Decree No. 026-2020 has established that, within the framework of the State of Emergency declared by Supreme Decree No. 008-2020-SA, constitutionally autonomous bodies, such as this Superintendency, shall order the suspension of the terms they consider necessary in order not to harm citizens or the performance of their functions;

That, under said provision, on 16 March and by Superintendency Resolution No. 1259-2020, it was ordered to suspend, for 15 calendar days, the computation of the administrative terms related to the functions and powers corresponding to this Superintendency, including those established for the delivery of information requested from it virtually and the terms referred to in articles 252 and 253 of the Single Ordered Text of Law No. 27444, further specifying that, by multiple official letters, measures, complementary instructions and exceptions applicable to the systems supervised by this Superintendency shall be established;

That by Emergency Decree No. 029-2020, of 20 March, the suspension has been ordered - for thirty business days, of the computation of terms for the initiation and processing of administrative procedures and procedures of any kind, evidencing that the conditions that gave rise to the suspension ordered in the aforementioned resolution still remain in the country and that, therefore, it is necessary to extend it;

That, on the other hand, it is pertinent to order the extension of the computation of the terms established for compliance with provisions issued by this Superintendency, with the exception of those referring to provisions with respect to which the Superintendency had expressly required the administered parties to comply;

In accordance with the provisions set forth in the norms cited in the preceding recitals, and in use of the powers conferred in literals 2 and 11 of article 367 of Law No. 26702, General Law of the Financial System and the Insurance System and Organic Law of the Superintendency of Banking and Insurance;

RESOLVES:

Article One.- To extend until 12 April 2020, inclusive, the suspension of the computation of terms ordered by Superintendency Resolution No. 1259-2020

regarding the administrative terms related to the functions and powers corresponding to this Superintendency, including those established for the delivery of information requested from it virtually and the terms referred to in articles 252 and 253 of the Single Ordered Text of Law No. 27444

Article Two.- During the validity of the suspension indicated in the previous article, the provisions of article three of the aforementioned Superintendency Resolution No. 1259-2020 remain in force.

Article Three.- Let the computation of the terms established for compliance with provisions issued by this Superintendency be suspended until 12 April 2020, inclusive, with the exception of those referring to provisions with respect to which the Superintendency had expressly required the administered parties to comply.
