Securities and Future Advisers Regulations, 2017 (update January 15, 2021)

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan establishes licensing requirements for securities and futures advisers, mandating that persons acting in these capacities obtain a license from the Commission. The regulations define specific eligibility criteria for applicants, including companies, banking entities, and individuals, while imposing a minimum net worth of Rs. 1 million for companies and Rs. 500,000 for individuals. Existing practitioners performing these functions were required to secure licenses within six months of the regulations' commencement or by June 30, 2018, to maintain compliance.
