Securities Commission of The Bahamas Notice on Sudan Sanctions
Licensees and registrants of the Securities Commission of The Bahamas must report any positive matches to four newly listed individuals and entities on the UN Security Council Sudan Sanctions List within 24 hours of this notice. Reports must be submitted to the Financial Intelligence Unit and the Office of the Attorney General, with confirmation sent to the Commission. Failure to submit required reports constitutes an offence punishable by a fine not exceeding $250,000.00, and non-compliance may result in disciplinary action including a minimum fine of $200.00 per day.
