The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control announced a $3,103,360 settlement with Exodus Movement, Inc. to resolve 254 apparent violations of sanctions on Iran. Between October 2017 and January 2019, the company provided customer support services that enabled Iranian users to access digital asset exchanges through its wallet software. The penalty amount reflects the determination that the violations were not voluntarily self-disclosed and that 12 of the infractions were egregious.
