The Securities (Real Estate Investment Trust) Guidelines, 2020
The Securities and Exchange Commission establishes regulations for Income Real Estate Investment Trusts (I-REITs), excluding Development and Mortgage REITs. Authorized I-REITs must maintain a minimum initial asset value of ZMW 50 million, invest at least 80% of net asset value in real estate, and distribute at least 80% of distributable income to unit holders.
