Treasury Exposes and Disrupts Hamas's Covert Support Network
The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control added Zaher Khaled Hassan Birawi and eight entities to the Specially Designated Nationals List for their links to Hamas. The designated organizations, including various Gaza-based charities and the Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad, face secondary sanctions under Executive Order 13224 for supporting terrorist activities. Concurrently, the Treasury removed Altomare S.A. and the crude oil tanker Kallista from the list, ending their designation for links to Iranian energy entities.
