Treasury Sanctions Iranian Regime Officials for Violent Repression and Corruption
The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control added six Iranian individuals and two entities to the Specially Designated Nationals List for their roles in violent repression, corruption, and support for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The action targets IRGC commanders, law enforcement officials, and digital currency exchanges linked to Iranian state activities, subjecting them to secondary sanctions. Concurrently, the Treasury removed Soltech Industry and its associated individual from the list and updated the designation links for Mohammad Soltanmohammadi.
