These designations add the subjects to the Specially Designated Nationals List, blocking their assets and prohibiting U.S. persons from engaging with them under Executive Order 13224. The action specifically targets financial facilitators, including money transfer companies in Turkey and Nigeria and a cryptocurrency exchange in Syria, to disrupt terrorist funding networks.
