Update on the Guidance on Technology Arrangements, ICT and Security Risk Management, and Outsourcing Arrangements
The Malta Financial Services Authority updates its 2020 Guidance on Technology Arrangements, ICT and Security Risk Management, and Outsourcing Arrangements to align with the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). As of 17 January 2025, the Guidance Document ceases to apply to authorized persons within the scope of DORA, while continuing to apply to those excluded from it. The Authority provides a specific list of excluded entities in Annex 1 and notes that relevant rules will be amended to reflect this distinction.
