Regulation on the Calculation of an Institution-Specific Countercyclical Capital Buffer Rate for Banks and Savings Banks

The Bank of Slovenia issued this regulation to establish detailed rules for calculating institution-specific countercyclical capital buffer rates for banks and savings banks in Slovenia. It mandates that banks determine the geographic location of relevant credit exposures and compute the buffer rate as a weighted average of valid national rates based on their credit risk capital requirements. Additionally, the regulation requires banks to report these calculated rates quarterly using a specific Excel form submitted via the B2B system.
