Adoption of Updated EDGAR Filer Manual

The Securities and Exchange Commission adopts revisions to the EDGAR Filer Manual to support the mandatory electronic filing of Form ID via the new EDGAR Filer Management Web site and to facilitate the initial submission of series and class information by open-end management investment companies and insurance company separate accounts. The update implements EDGAR Release 8.7, which increases the company name length limit from 60 to 150 characters, supports additional ASCII characters, and allows for mixed-case company names. The effective date for these amendments and the updated manual is April 26, 2004.
