Amendment to the Bank Secrecy Act Regulations Requirement that Mutual Funds Report Suspicious Transactions

The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network amends 31 CFR Part 103 to require mutual funds to report suspicious transactions conducted or attempted by, at, or through the fund. The reporting obligation applies to transactions involving or aggregating at least $5,000 in funds or other assets. This final rule becomes effective on June 5, 2006, and applies to transactions occurring after October 31, 2006.
