BCB Resolution No. 132 requires commercial banks, multiple banks, savings banks, foreign exchange banks, investment banks, and development banks with international asset or liability balances equal to or exceeding USD 300,000,000 to submit the International Banking Statistics (EBI) document quarterly to the Central Bank of Brazil. The Central Bank will publish an annual list of obligated institutions in September, and the EBI must be submitted within forty-five days after each quarter's base date. The resolution designates the director responsible for regulatory information as accountable for compliance and requires institutions to designate an employee to answer inquiries, with the designation recorded in the Unicad system. It maintains the previous reporting framework until the December 31, 2021 base date and repeals Circular No. 3,047/2001 and Circular Letter No. 3,699/2015, with provisions taking effect on September 1, 2021, and March 1, 2022.
