Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting Deadline Extension for Reporting Companies Created or Registered in 2024
FinCEN amends the beneficial ownership information reporting rule to extend the initial filing deadline from 30 to 90 calendar days for reporting companies created or registered on or after January 1, 2024, and before January 1, 2025. This final rule, effective January 1, 2024, applies to corporations, limited liability companies, and other similar entities subject to the Corporate Transparency Act. Reporting companies created or registered on or after January 1, 2025, remain subject to the original 30-day filing deadline.
