BRPD Circular Letter No. 09: Policy regarding establishments of business center by Banks
The document amends previous regulations by extending the maximum lease or rental period for building or floor space from 10 to 20 years. It redefines branch classifications, designating branches in metropolitan areas, city corporations, and 'A' class municipalities as 'City Branches', and those in 'B' and 'C' class municipalities and union areas as 'Rural Branches'. Additionally, the maximum allowable floor space for new or relocated branches is increased to 6,000 square feet for City Branches and 3,000 square feet for Rural Branches. The circular explicitly repeals Circular Letter No. 12 dated June 2, 2014, while other existing instructions remain in force.
